5.7l chevy with a 4.3l cobra

Ok I have a buddy that wants to upgrade my non running 4.3l omc with a 5.7l chevy engine. The boat is a 1986 Wellcraft 185 Elite. What changes to the drive will I have to make, and what problems do I face?

I'm not sure about motor mounts, etc. But, there is a difference in the overall drive ratio. The overall ratio for a OMC Cobra mated to a 4.3L V6 is 1.68. For a 5.7L V8, depending on year, it could be 1.41 or 1.50.

It can be done. I did it on my 1988 Baja islander.
