Hi There,

I have quite a nice Evinrude on the back of my Seaswirl, and it worked great up until a couple of weeks ago. At the end of a ride on the river, my push-to-choke ignition fell apart and so I replaced it with a new one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001449ZBQ/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00

My problem is, I can't get my new ignition to work. Turning the key wont' start the engine, and the trim motors don't have any power either. The battery seems to be working, all of my lights will turn on. I've checked and double checked all of my fuses. Alas, no power seems to be making it through the new ignition.

Can anyone give me some ideas for where to start trouble shooting?

Look back on the mtr on the port side and you should find a red fuse holder. Check that. You may have blown that when you replaced the switch.

I'm dealing with a 1989 Evinrude 120 V4. When I look on the port side for a fuse box, I'm having trouble finding it. I see a large red cable connector with many many pins, but no red fuse holder.

Thank you Daviet, that was the fuse that was giving me trouble!
