fuel problems

i have a 1976 evinrude it runs great but it will not go full open after the tank get 3/4 emty. when i have about 1/4 of gas left it will quit if i give it more then a 1/4 of throttle. any help would be great.

You may have a leak in the fuel picup about 1/4 of the way up from the bottom of the tank. Pull out the pickup and check the tube.
