Mercruiser Jet Sport 90 Power Head year and serial number compatibility

Hello, This is my first post in the iBoats Forum and I just purchased a 1995 Sea Rayder F-14, with a Mercury Jet Sport 90, and the engine will not turn over with the starter with all 3 spark plugs out and I am unable to roll it over using the flywheel.

I am going to look for another engine so that I can have some fun this summer, My question is there a source that will tell me what years are the Mercury Sport Jet 90HP power head are interchangeble?

All 90 sport jets are interchangeable except for the early ones with the corse spline. I think those was 13 splined shafts
