I just bought a 12 foot aluminum boat made by JC Penney model #0003. It has no engine or trailer. Can anyone tell me about this boat (like when it was made)? Also, there are three numbers on the coast guard information plate but the topics for the numbers areunreadable. From top to bottom they are 15, 345, and 545. I am assuming they have to do with weight and engine size?

15HP would be about right for the max HP for a 12'.

Many times you'll have passenger weight and total weight that includes passengers, ice chests and gear. Just guessing.....

oh, and agree with the 15HP.
