Hey everyone, good day:)
I have a 1988 Lason Delta Conic, with a 4cyl I/O
We get to the lake and it won't start, che4cked eveything.
Got gas spark and all that.
Took top of carb off and the pin that hold float was part way out
and would let float drop to open neddle to let fuel in.
Put it back in and it fired righ tup ran good.
Went to lake next weekend and same thing wouldn't start.
Took top of carb off and same thing :(
Is the a common problem?
Do I have the wrong pin , do I need a longer one??
Other than that runs great :) so far lol
Thanks

Re: Float pin comes out :(

What carb? Take a pic of the pin housing and post. I have had to fix this before. Did it a couple of ways. 1: used a roll pin that was a snug fit to housing (not too tight or it will crack). 2: got longer pin, machined grooves for E-clips each end. 3: got longer pin that ran into each side of float bowl when assembled so pin could not fall out. 4: knurled pin to make larger and grab housing. These were all old, non cost effective to replace/no longer available restoration pieces. Need to know why your pin falls out in the first place!

If you get the right pin, it should set close enough to the sides of the fuel bowl that it can't move far enough either way to come out.
