IMPORTANT: In the absence of a torque wrench or if access to the plugs prevents torquing, hand tighten the spark plug until it seats in the cylinder head and then securely tightened with the appropriate ratchet and socket.
3. Install the spark plugs and torque.
Description Nm lb–in. lb–ft
Spark plugs (new cylinder head) 29.8Nm – 22lb–ft
Spark plugs (used cylinder head) 14Nm 132 –lb–in. or 11 lb–ft
(132 inches) x (1 ft / 12 inches) = 11 ft
132 in-lb = 11 ft-lb
