where to look for and where

hi i have a 1982 mercruiser with a 470 motor and i took it out fishing and seen water comeing in the transom. what do i look for and where. also inside where to look for. maybe you guys know more than me how to spot a transom leak. i also seen a hole where water was comeing in but it was to much water i think for that screw hole i think its comeing in from somewhere im not familiar with.

You have to get in there with flashlight, mirror, even a digital camera, whatever it takes to find where the water is coming in from.

thank you i will do that but where should i concertrate myself on.what the most common these mercruiser leak from.
