what would cause fuel to mist from my bottom carb 1990 johson 60hp?

It's bad enough that you can clearly see it and it will soak your palm if you place it in front of it. Other two seem fine.

Pull that carb and check the reed plates sounds like you have a broken or chipped one.

Likely normal. Engines with no recirc valves often have a direct passage from crankcase to intake for pooling fuel. If it Idles fine, this is what I'd suspect....

reeds on that carb are fine. I'll give it a clean and check needle and seat and float and will see what happens.

Woody I owe you an apology , after rechecking the carb but still same effect , i then retraced my steps and had another look at the reeds and one had a crack. It was a hard spot in my defence... anyway swopped out with a spare and issue solved ..

thanks
