Last year it was the charging system. This year it is the fuel system. Motor cuts out at higher than 2500 rpm. The higher the rpm the quicker it cuts out. Had the motor checked out and was told that fuel pressure was low at higher rpms due most likely to the fuel pump not working properly. Don't electric fuel pumps either run or not? Before spending $515 on a new pump the shop said to try Star Tron fuel additive, get a new hose and tank and run a tank of the additive mixed with nonethanol gas through the motor. Almost through the tank of mix and no change in performance. Paid big bucks for a nice pontoon with this motor and have had nothing but trouble. Anyone else out there have similar experience with this motor and any suggestions.
