i have a 1987 120hp johnson. it idles fine but when im wide open throttle it will only rev to 4000rpm wiith a slow hole shot.
when i get back to the ramp and pull the plugs out, the cylinder that the fuel pump runs off is flooding and the spark plug is black as. does this mean my fuel pump is ****ed. i pulled it apart and the diaphram doesnt have any holes or leaks in it.
or would the timing b out on my motor ive nearly run out of things it could b.

hey mate the compression is good and i iireset the spark gap it was set to .040" but i changed it to .030"
i had a look at it today and think i will just get a new fuel pump as i think that the fuel pump is leaking fuel into the pulse hose causeing that cylinder to flood.
