Re: what kind of bilge paint and topcoat paint to use on top of epoxy
Last year I bought the bilgeKote paint at west marine . . . Only to find out that it is basically the same as the floor and porch Enamel that is sold at ace hardware at 1/3 the price.
So, I needed to do some more bilge painting and went to ace hdwre
Re: what kind of bilge paint and topcoat paint to use on top of epoxy
Well not exactly the Porch paint has no UV protection as well as some other components. Need to do some research on the specific chemical make up specs for both.
Re: what kind of bilge paint and topcoat paint to use on top of epoxy
that's what i was worried about the uv protection. what else is there to use that has the uv protection. i tried to search what was out there but not really having any luck.
Pretty much . . . looks the same, smells the same, tastes the same, most all the same chemicals listed on each can . . . could not see paying the difference in price for something that close for bilge paint.
Re: what kind of bilge paint and topcoat paint to use on top of epoxy
I have used sherwin williams industrial floor epoxy in a bilge once. It works on the floor and walls of my friends towing/garage business, it worked in the bilge. a bit more expensive than rustoleum though
