When buying trailer parts and the reference left side would that be same as port?

Not sure of the point of reference when getting parts online for the trailer (aka fender) and they refer to right side or left..
Im assumming view from the rear but who knows??

They always use the same picture for the fenders with markers regardless of side ...geesh...

Cars and Trailers .... Drivers Side (US) = Port = Left

Boat ... Steering Board (Helm) Side = Starboard = Right
