There are a couple hoods on eBay right now. Neither is cheap, but it beats getting critters in your motor... Search on Evinrude 8hp hood or 6hp hood. Same basic hood was used on 4 (deluxe model), 4.5, 5, 6, 7.5 and 8hp models from the 1980s. Only difference was paint & decals.
