I have a small aluminum boat that I retro fitted with a steering wheel and throttle/shift controls. When fishing and boating I usually sit up front, my 12 year old twin boys in the middle and my wife in back. The problem is, she can't pull start the motor. (She refuses to drive.) I would like to get my hands on a ring gear, starter bracket, and starter motor.
Do you think this is feasible? Can I get these parts? The tag is missing off the motor, but from pictures and service that I have done it, I believe it is a 1957 FD-11.
