I have an Aerocraft Monte Carlo I that my family has had for years. Has the Merc 898 with a 305cid. It hasn't had a decent prop since the first time it hit something. I need advice on diam and pitch for a 3 blade prop. We live in illinois, its has trouble planing with a full load. Prop calculators are all over the place. Not sure what to be looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you take a look at the stickies at the top of this section and give us as much info as you can? We'll do our best from there. Welcome aboard!!!! :)

Your prop size should be under the prop nut.

Existing prop is a 15.5" 19p. The boat has trouble planing with a full load. The RPMs max out at about 4500.

I have a 79 17' delta bowrider with same motor and out drive currently I'm running a 14.5 4 blade 16 pitch does great job planning quick and pulling tube or skier. But depending on what your after the top speed is a little low I max out around 37 to 40 at 4500 rpm if that helps any.
