help identifing this boat

My buddy is looking to get a boat. His son found this one for sale on the north side of town, and sent him this Picture.

He has asked me for advice on the boat, but i dont even know what it is.

I got the basics, check floor for soft spots, check hull, and engine. It looks to be an I/O so check bellows, and gimbal.

Anyone know what this is, and what it should be worth?

It's a Welcraft. It was a very good boat when new and they ride very nicely. However it's probably around 20 years old so the biggest concern is rot. I don't think Welcraft used OMCs but I'm not sure. You want a Mercruiser or Volvo with a GM based motor. That boat would certainly be worth checking out but there's definitely not enough to go on at this point.
