hi ,am new to the forum. i have an 06 1903 Trophy CC with an 05 125hp merc saltwater. put key in accessory position,(no motor running) and my alarm sounded off continuously. I disconnected the temp sensor and turned key on, it still went into alarm. i reconnected temp sensor and disconnected the oil level sensor, turned key on and this time it didnt go into alarm. is it common for oil level sensors to go bad? both sensors are wired to the same alarm buzzer.

Re: TEMP, OIL sensor alarm

Oil level sensors bad usually makes a beep beep beep. Sensor module bad makes a beeeeeeep. It is a common source of failure.

i didnt see any sensor modual attached to motor anywhere, wires came from the sensors into a harness and up through the boat to under the dash where alarm is.
