Well,

I acquired this beauty here recently. It use to be my grandpas, but hes been gone for 20 years. This boat has sat since he passed away. I recently took up fishing and decided I would strip this out and redo everything. My plan is to get the 1975 evinrude 40hp running. I have good compression, but no spark on this thing. I imagine since it's been awhile it needs new points, condensers, and etc. I've got the boat stripped and the motor pulled of for ease of working on it.

Need to replace all the wood in this thing! I plan to cover the new wood with the outdoor carpet. I also thought about coating the inside of the hull with some kind of sealer/paint stuff. Any ideas or recommendations?

Welcome to iboats Beast!

The quick answer - Most use Gluvit to seal the seams and rivets from the inside.

I'd suggest you read through some of the Starcraft resto threads since a tin boat is a tin boat and the procedure is the same. Plus they may give you some good ideas to incorporate.
