So, we were out on the lake yesterday and everything was working fine. we were out there for several hours and as we were getting ready to head back to the dock the boat would start. The battery was fine and all the instrumentation would turn on, but the engine would not do anything. No sound of turning over or anything. The shifter seemed to be in neutral and not in gear, but it was hard to tell. Earlier in the day it did a similar thing, but wiggled on the shifter and then it started right up. I did have the shifter cable replaced this year, and it seems that the shifter is stiffer now, and I am wondering if it is not finding neutral? Actually had to get towed back to the dock since I could not get this figured out.
