5.7 Merc Stalls at Idle When Porpoising

2000 Merc stalls after a minute or so only when porpoising but not when rocking port to stern. Otherwise idles and runs fine. Any idea why?

Carbed application? Float levels? Fuel in tanks sloshing allowing air into pickup and loosing prime? Perhaps a tad more info would be useful. FP

Yes, its carbed. If I had other info I would supply it. I think there was more than enough fuel so that the pick up would not have been affected. I was merely asking for suggestions, but thanks anyway.
