Hi
I'm new here and was wondering if I could get some help with my 1963 5.5 (5302M)

It will start and run for about 5 seconds then die then I will pull and pull then it will do the run and die again
I'm thinking it's a fuel problem and was going to start with the fuel pump them go to the carb but I don't know what rebuild kits to get for them And was wondering if you guys can help me out and point me in the rite direction.

To check the fuel pump, remove the fuel line that feeds the carb. When you pull the rope to start it fuel will pulse from the hose. If it doesn't your pump is bad or you have a bad air leak in your fuel system.

It sounds like you have a carb problem to me. They are pretty easy to rebuild and the kits are still available.

OMC # 439071 has a new float with it. This is what I would get, you probably have an old float in there made of cork thats coming apart.

Sierra Kit # 18-7043 (this kit does not have the float).

You can get either one here from Iboats hopefully. If not try a local Evinrude dealer or Napa Auto Parts.
