Securing portable fuel tank to aluminum floor

I'd like to balance the weight out in my Zodiac Classic. I want to put the fuel tank (and maybe even the battery) towards the bow. Any suggestions for securing it to the floor? I was thinking of cutting a rubber mat to size, and adhering it to the bottom of the tank. That might prevent it from sliding. But I'm sure it'll still bounce like crazy. Maybe use bungee cords somehow secured to the floor rails???

Any thought would be very much appreciated

If you've got floor rails then it shouldn't be a problem to secure a battery box and a fuel tank with strapping.

I Put a floor up forward in an alum. boat once and affixed a trolling motor bracket. Got the parts together and went to a welding shop where they welded aluminum. Guy did a super job and didn't even burn the paint on the outside. The stringers if semicircle, make a super place to weld something without burning the paint. You could weld on a couple of U shaped brackets and bungie to your heart's content. I'd still add the rubber matting.
