We have been in a drought around here for so long that they are starting to tell in the newspaper how boaters are only able to navigate parts of the Kankakee river and pictures of the corn crops with leaves that a are starting to curl up. It got up to 93* today before it started raining. Tom Skilling said last night that we were getting into a pattern where it couldn't rain because there was no moisture going up into the passing clouds to set off a rain storm. Thank God Tom Skilling was wrong today.
