Fuel mix for 1984 johnson/evinrude 4 hp

Hi

After some great help from this board I have managed to get a e4brhcrm 1984 4 hp back up and running, but now have a quick question on fuel mix. The guy I bought it from advises me to use 100:1, which is what the johnson and seloc documentation seems to say. But I have also found a couple of pages that say that Johnson modified their advice and it should be used with 50:1

Any advice?

Run 50:1 OMC issued a service bulletin after many power head failures due to lack of lubrication. I am surprised that engine is still running if it is had a diet of 100:1 since new.

Thanks, that is what I will go with. I got the impression it was on a seldom used tender fo quite a few years so probably hasn't logged many hours.
