1996 mercruiser 3.0lx bogs

Well today was a sad day. I took my 1996 bayliner with a mercruiser 3.0 lx on the lake and after an hour of no problems at all it started bogging and engine dying out. I let it sit with engine off for a few min then it works again for like 10 min. There is some oil in the carburetor filter. I'm lost

Ayuh,... Give it a Tune Up, 'n Full Service... Especially the fuel Filters...

I'm with Bond-o... Full tune up... But then you might need to pull the carbie and give it a clean out... Sounds like there's some dirt playing silly buggers in there...
