Can't find my post, so I will post it again.

I am new at fixing boats, and would really appreciate your help. Last week I hit a big rock and chipped a considerable piece off my propeller. Now my boat will not acceleration, could this be the problem.

I read on an other post to check prop by hand. I put it in forward gear and the prop moved clockwise easily but with a clicking noise. When I put it in reverse, I turn it counter clock wise and it will not turn by hand.

If I took off the prop and got the chip fixed, do you believe it would solve my problem with the acceleration.

Thank you for any help I can get.

Re: prop issue

yes I would say that the chunk missing from your prop is a problem, kinda like a plane with part of a wing missing.

Your original post might have been moved to the prop questions and topics, where it really belongs.
