I have an 2011 60hp on a weeres 22ft pontoon weighs roughly 1400 lbs and i am over weighing i have tried my 4th prop on this and still runs out weird !!! 1st prop was a 13-3/4"x15p direct from honda -- tach showed 4200 wot 2nd prop was a 13p direct from honda ran out at 4800-- 3rd prop was an 11p same cenario 5200 slowly rising now dealer says use a 9 pitch in which i did today ran out to 6200 rpm's 200 over where it should be --very very frustrating was wondering if anyone else has had the same experiance also engine vibrates at idle 900rpm's but if i tweek it up to 1050 r's it smoothes out like it should be -- i am pretty tired of dealer suggestions and $$$$

Pontoons are a little outside of normal prop selection and can be unpredictable.
The props that in my opinion were about the right size your rpm increase was fairly reasonable.
I don't think a 9"is a reasonable size.
Is this a normal 2 tube pontoon? Are you sure of the weight I found a 20 footer that was 1280.
What were the speeds with each reasonable prop?
Do you have any ventilation issues? (prop loses grip)
I think the motor rpm range is 5000 to 6000.I'll have to check.

I'm really thinking 11p is where you should be, looks like you have a 2.33 gear case. There should have been a bigger jump from the 13p to 11p prop, Same brand prop? (Honda?) The 200-400rpm per 2" rule it for guys running props in the 15+ pitch range. On low pitch props like there is Alot bigger jump in RPM's, or there should be if you stay with the same brand prop. This is why some brands/manufactures offer 10 and 12 pitch props between the normal ones.
15 to 13 is a 15% change , 4200 to 4830 in your case, very close to what you actually seen
13 to 11 is a 18% change , 4830 to 5730 in your case, you DIDN'T see this
11 to 9 is a 22% change! , 5730 to 7000! in this case you DIDN'T see this because you are beyond the 5000-6000rpm window an probably hit a rev limiter.

I'd stick with the 5200rpm 11p for now an maybe the new engine will "loosen up" a bit. 5500 is your target! could also try other brand 11p props.

The 11 does seem to be a good starting point.
You really can't expect typical changes between props. The pontoon never planes.Once it reaches its "ideal" speed probably about 20/22 with the setup.
prop changes will be pretty much ineffective. Of course slip numbers are usually about double that of a runabout type hull.
Usually you need some speed numbers to along with the rpm. to tell how the setup is working.
Apparently no changes were made in the setup I've seen both lowering and raising improve things.
Are any of the props 4 blade? These might improve speed and slip as well as improve handling around the dock
and resist ventilation.
