new guy question

Hey there guys and girls. I am new to tweaking boats but i have a 99 marada 22 ft runabout that i am thinking of putting a big block in. I have owned this boat since it was new and it is starting to show its many hours of use and i am thinking of up dating it this winter. My question is if I pull the mercruiser 5.7 how many changes other than the outdrive am i going to have to make to drop in a 7.4 or 8.1?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... I'm guessin' it's got an Alpha drive now,..??

If ya wanta go to a BBC/ Bravo,..?? it's a Pulleys to Prop swap....

The hole in the transom is the same...
