Envinrude (1981) 35 jumping out of gear?

Hi wondered if anyone can help. When going along in gear the more throttle I give the quicker it jumps in and out of gear.

Any suggestions please?

Could be as simple as a cable adjustment. However, the first thing to do is check the lower unit gear housing for water. It's possible that the clutch dog is going bad.
