1997 overheat???

150HP....once a trip my overheat alarm goes off when running! Now this only happens when i run over 5 or 6 miles and only ONCE...when it does i shut it down start it back up and can run all day long without it going off again! Any ideas??? Thanks!

When this happens check temp of your block with heat gun/stick etc.If not actually hot,id say you have a faulty sensor.Remember continuous beeeeep for overheat and intermittent beep beep beep for oil injection warning.
