I am sure this has been addressed but I can't find it...Like many OMCs my tilt clutch assembly was full of water..motor works fine, the clutch pack is out but since I was in there I wanted to replace the seals on the outdrive side and add a drain plug. I removed the snap ring but can seem to get the small gear (spur gear maybe?) off...I have removed the other gear (quadrant maybe?) off of the outdrive and the outdrive is propped up. I bent my cheapo harbor freight gear puller and now have a better one on it...the gear is flexxing but won't release. I have dowsed it with as much lubricant as I can think of. It appears to be stuck on one side only. Any ideas? heat? thanks, Don
