i am new boater and first time poster so please be gently with me...lol. purchased a small(20 ft) open bow boat a couple months ago for dragging the kids around on tubes, skis, etc. it has a 1993 or maybe 1994 johnson gt 150 outboard(2 stroke v-6).had it out maybe 15 hours total and last trip we took it seemed to have a "stutter" upon first acceleration pulling the tube. it starts fine using the "fast idle" and after warming up goes into gear and idle speed seems fine. when you start to take off after letting it warm up( with or without the tuber) it seems to bog down and if you don't let off the throttle and kind of "feather it" for a minute it will stall out. once you get past that point it will accelerate and decelerate just fine until i stop, and have to start again. it DOES NOT have a tach so i cant say what rpm range it is happening at. i replaced the plugs and the all looked even and ok, i also replaced the fuel filter. while doing that i found 2 small slices in the fuel line where the lid of the outboard latches that went to the white cloth so i replaced it. any more ideas anyone can give me to check before my test run tomorrow morning??
