Re: quick prop question

It would help to know what boat and motor your running.
More to the point will the motor stay within its rated rpm range. The 20 could lower your rpm as much as 600.
It will very likely slow your hole shot, reduce its ability to push a load and make the motor lug.
It may be more cost effective to have your old prop repaired.

Re: quick prop question

You may want to check out Prop md http://www.propmd.com for pricing on prop repairs and replacements. If yours is aluminum with removable hubs it may be less than 100.

It wont hurt to try the spare you have & see what happens but if you can't reach the recomended rpm range it can cause premature engine wear over time.

Also be aware if you hit a rock or obstacle with a stainless prop it can do more collateral damage to the outdrive.
