I have a Mercury 3.3 2 stroke that until recently had been running fine. Now, it starts up after 2 or 3 pulls and will run fine in a drum at idle and low rpms, but as soon as you try and accelerate with the boat it runs poorly and dies. After this happens it is very hard to start. i have had the carburettor off and gave it a clean with carb spray and checked the jets. It seemed to run better after that, but still only at idle, and would still die under load.
The spark plug is tan/brown in colour, doesn't look bad.
Any suggestions?
