Hey guys, Ive been reading through these forums for a bit and I have a quick question, what is the spline on the drive shaft for the lower unit? I am very big into Mustangs and I was thinking of purchasing a v6 mustang engine and fitting it into my boat, I love fuel injection so much easier then carbs IMO.

I was going to run the exhaust over and down into the water I know how to weld any everything, and Ill just hook up my own radiator setup and just block off the lower exhaust/water combo from the stern drive

No bellhousing, no couplers, no marine rated parts for the ignition, charging, or starting systems. let alone the EFI system that isn't marine usable, how are you going to deal with O2 sensors. How do you plan on getting air flow to the radiator?
You can't have hot exhaust manifolds in an enclosed engine compartment.
Basically all this has to be above deck with clear air flow around it. How you going to hook it to the drive ??????
