My info says it is a 1955 Evinrude 15hp Maybe someone traded cowlings as they should interchange from close years

Howdy, papa.

Welcome to iboats. :)

It is not uncommon to find changes of cowlings on older OMCs.

Be sure to run 24:1 fuel mix. Spark plugs are Champion J4C or J6c, gapped at .030".

Re: 18 HP Johnson model and year

Thanks to all for the information.
The top is definitely a 18 hp Johnson seahorse, but the serial # says it is a 1955 15 hp Evenrude.
Does this make any since?
I am going to try to restore this, but have no ideal what model it is.

Any clues?
