Starts up and idles fine. When you give it throttle and come back to idle the butterflies stick open just a little bit. RPMs won't drop back down to 850. Linkage is set cam follower lines up like its suppose to. How do I get the butterflies to close they should. Idle stop screw touches the throttle at.idle like it a suppose to

Maybe check all linkeages for binding or jamming. I've always used a drop of oil on each end of butterfly shafts on the outside of each carb to help reduce wear and prevent binding. Good Luck!

Maybe butterfly shafts have worn the carb bodies causing sticking? Maybe polish edges of butterflys and carb mouth sufficient for smooth operation. Any deposits in carb mouth that might cause sticking?....like the carbon on mouth of throttle body on cars?
