The other day my T&T stopped working and when i got it home it would work every once and a while but not all the time. I used a test light and the motor it getting power to it. I can get someone to pust the trim up button and i can tap the motor with the butt of a screwdriver it will start working and eventually stop again. But after a couple more taps it will start working again. Is the motor bad or is there some type of connection that could be loose inside the motor. Any advise would be great. thanks alot

If you're handy with tools you can DIY. If not, take thr mtr off and take it to a rebuild shop.

Re: tilt and trim motor

I took the motor off and apart and one of the springs had become a little rusty and was not pushing the brush out. I took the spring and brush out, cleaned everything, put a new spring and it fixed the problem. Thanks alot for the help.
