I have searched around in order to figure out the compatibility of the lower unit of my Johnson 1986 70hp J70TLCDC(model number) motor. The person that I purchased it from has completely taken it apart in order to replace a gear, and I figure it would be easier to just purchase a remanufactured lower unit. The problem is, I am completely boat illiterate and have no clue as to the compatibility of my lower unit and what will work on the motor.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, sometimes I wish I was more boat savvy!
