Ran over a floating joist beam!

Ran over a big piece of wood today at about 18 knots. Engine runs but prop won't engage fwd or reverse. You can also spin the prop by hand when in gear. S/s prop, merc 3.0 l.

What did I do?

Could be as minor as a prop hub spun, to internal damage to the drive, spun coupler. Impossible to say for sure.

If the prop hub is ok, I would pull the drive, and turn the ujoint shaft and put it in gear manually and see if the prop shaft turns.
