I recently purchased a 18 ft Lund Alaskan with a 115 merc tower of power. The motor is running great but its to heavy and 2 much motor for my fishing needs. I cant seem to find a guide to pull the year from the serial #.. I live in Canada, Not sure if that makes a difference or not. S/N is 3949639. Also an idea of what I should ask for it. Its in pretty good condition. I also hear that the tower of powers were wanted by water skiers for the big wake they produce.
