DUMB QUESTION TINE vacuum line have to be be disconnected ? while timing so old i cant remember

Ayuh,.... You have an Automotive Distributer, 'n NOT a Marine distributer,....

Marine distributers Don't have a vacuum line....

What you've got, Won't work so well, 'n is a serious EXPLOSION Hazard...

I'm with Bond-o... Get that AUTOMOTIVE distributor out of there.... And if the vacuum line connects to a fitting on the carb, it means that's automotive too.... Bad idea!

no it is a marine dist like i said i am old (lol) and away from it right now will be tinkering with it later thanks for the info

If it's a marine dissy, there will be no vacuum advance line.... Just set the idle to about 650-700rpm and set the timing to 8?BTDC...
