1979 70 HP Evinrude, has spark and gets gas but WILL NOT FIRE!?!?

I have a '70 70 HP Evinrude Outboard and it will not fire. It wasn't sparking a while back, and I put a new stater in it and disconnected a safety switch and it was working. It fired every time. A few days later, it started, I turned it off, then tried to turn it back on and it will not fire. I thought we fouled a plug, but we have bought new plugs for it. It has spark, and it's getting gas, but will not fire. Any ideas on what could be wrong?? One minute it worked, then it just stopped. NEED HELP!! :facepalm:

The follow the trouble shooting instructions in the CDI Guide for your engine. Follow the steps as they are laid out for an engine with no spark start on page 40..
