just boust a new boat........has a 1989 yamaha 150 hp outboard. My question is when the motor is running it has a clunking/grinding noise comming from it but seems to be comming from the lower end....it pees water when running but when shifted into gear the prop does not move....im guessing sing its peeing water the driveshaft isnt broken what else could it be? also can i unbolt the lower unit and start the motor to see if its not making the noises just briefly?
