I have a 1985 DT85 Suzuki im planning to rebuild.

Has been run with-out oil so major damage to the short-block. My plan is to strip and replace damaged parts or replace block alltogether.

Im at the stage of pulling the block off the Engine holder, taken all four studds underneath plus another two and a small one from the back , the block is now loose but still wont free from the gear-box.

Can anyone tell me what im missing -out on removing the block off ?

I was also wondering how i remove the flywheel.

Thanks , olly.Block removal diagram.jpgBlock removal diagram.jpg

Re: DT85 Rebuild

did you disconnect the shift shaft?
If so then splined drive shaft maybe rusted into the crank
