Removing engine fro transom

Hey All,

I am about to remove my 140hp Evinrude from boat and was wondering if the hook attached is strong enough for removal of motor. I will be removing with forklift and can l lay motor on its side on pallet for short storage period as motor doesnt require anything to be fixed.
