Hello All,
New guy here. Looks like I couldn't have found a better group of people with a wider range of knowledge anywhere!!! I'm fairly new to this whole boat restoration thing, as well as forums. I definitely have a lot more questions than answers but I will sift through some old threads to try and answer some of them so I don't bore everyone. Anyhow, On to the hunk of tin! She's a '60 speed queen with a '60 Merc 400E on the back. I bought it last year from my grandpa. Motor's a solid runner in need of some tlc. As for the Starcraft, you don't find boats, built in the 1960's, in much better un-restored condition, aside from the paint of course. No dents, no dings, no leaks, not even a drop! they sure don't make em like they used to! I'm pretty fired up about tearing into it and seeing her shine! I just hope you all can give this rookie a few pointers along the way. nice to meet everybody
