Hey all,I just bought a basket case 1987 Ranger 373v Bass boat with what I think is a 87 xr2 200 Mercury SN: B183233?. When I took possession of the boat, the trim motor was off and the wiring was all rat nested.

I downloaded a shop manual to try and figure this out, but the wiring does not correspond to how the manual describes it.

I would sure appreciate if someone could walk me through this or point me in the right direction of a correct wiring schematic.

Thanks in advance!

Its probably a 3 wire TnT unit. You should have an up solenoid and a down solenoid.Blue wire to up,green to down and black to ground post.
If you are saying tilt motor and pump are seperated, odds are its faulty.

I might have the wrong pump then. I have a two wire set up installed. The pump came with two relays that I assumed replaced the stock solenoids. I then wired green down, blue up, red to starter solenoid and ground to starter ground.

Am I way off track?

When power trim motor is attached to pump, does it work off a 12 v battery?
If its not attached check to make sure the bolts line up.
A picture of the TnT unit might help.
