Can anyone tell me if this looks like a stock prop and what size it would likely be? It's on a 78 6hp Evinrude (6805B). Or maybe a sure-fire way to measure for diameter and pitch. I can't for the life of me find any markings on it to ID it. I'm trying to decide if I need a new prop pitch to see if my 6 hp will troll a little better at lower RPM, it takes a bit of throttle to troll at about 2mph. Although my searching has helped me, any info or advice is welcomed.

I should add that if it's stock, evinrude.com shows it as an 8x7 3-blade. I'm thinking this is fine for a small boat but maybe not what I need for a kicker.

Re: Prop I.D. help

Okay figured it out. Took the prop off and the size is cast into the end of the shaft, covered by the end cap when mounted. It's 8x7 and there's only 1 size lower at 6 1/2. Probably stick with what I have.

Hey, thanks for talking it through with me!
